HOW TO FIND US
Brovad Sands Lodge is located on the island of Bugala in the Ssese Islands, Kalangala district, Lake Victoria.
Getting here
Bugala Island is reached by ferry across Lake Victoria. The two usual routes are:
- Entebbe → Kalangala — the passenger ferry from Nakiwogo landing site in Entebbe to Lutoboka, Kalangala.
- Bukakata → Luku — the vehicle ferry from Bukakata near Masaka, if you are driving.
We also operate the MV Brovad for scheduled and private crossings. Talk to us about transfers when you book — we can arrange pick-up from the landing site.

The Ssese Islands are an archipelago of 84 islands in the north-west of Lake Victoria. Bugala is the largest, with forest, beaches and small fishing villages within easy reach of the lodge.
